Currently, there are 2 awesome Huggies coupons available to print from coupons.com:

I don't think I've ever seen coupons this good in my diapering history. Print these fast, because once they hit their print limit, they will disappear!

My Darling Angel

Words alone can't describe how much I adore this little girl. I can't believe she's almost turning 3. She has made parenting such a joy, even on the hard days! You can check out the adorable tutu she is wearing on Julie's website and check out photographer, Erin McFarland, for this picture:

Trying my hand at photo editing - I've got a lot to learn.

Great Diaper Deal at Fry's

I had to make a quick run into Fry's this morning and ran past the diaper aisle on my way to the milk. I'm glad I did because I got a screaming deal on the Kroger diapers! The Kroger Comfort brand is on sale for $5.99 from $9.99. On top of that, all the packages with the old color/design had $3 off peelies on them, but they were good on all the kroger diapers! With the peelie, it brought it down to just $2.99 per package! For size 6, that's just $0.11 each!!! I stocked up for my daugher and I have a baby shower coming up that I'll be stocking up for as well!

These probably won't last long so don't wait until next Tuesday night to do your shopping!

My Big Fat Ebates Check!!!

On Saturday, I picked up my mail and was so excited to see my envelope from Ebates because inside was a check for $37.49 in FREE MONEY!!! Ebates is a super simple website that I go to before making online purchases and they give a % of your purchase back to you. For example, when I order something through Shutterfly, I go to ebates.com first and I receive 13% cash back from them. When I ordered my daughter's bedspread from JCPennys.com I went to ebates first and I got a percentage back from them too! It truly is free money that I'm passing up when I don't go through ebates, and I kick myself when I forget to use it!

Here is the best part, refer your friends to Ebates.com and they will give you and your friends $5 when they sign up and become qualified members. Plus, for every five friends you refer, they give you another $5 bonus for a total of $30. There's no limit to how much you can earn so refer everyone you know to Ebates.com! If you don't have an account set up yet, use this link to get your $5 bonus!

Free Chipolte in AZ Rep - Correction!

Correction!!!

The free Chipolte bag in yesterday's newspaper is good until March 8, not only on Mar 8! So, hopefuly there will not be any crazy long lines between now and then!

Thanks for the correction, Lenka & Pam!

Free 2 Tacos at Jack in the Box

It's true, you can just swing by Jack in the Box anytime on Tuesday and use this coupon for two free tacos (no purchase required).

Free Quizno's Sub - Hurry

One million free subs are being given away first-come-first-serve, so hurry over to Quiznos and ask for yours now! You'll get a coupon for a free small signature sub or small every day value sub. So far 90,778 have been claimed and I assure you they will reach a million faster than you would think! You do need to sign-up for Quizno's emails in order to claim your free sub coupon. But guess what - it's so easy to unsubscribe from these if you decide you don't want to receive them. I will warn you that my coupon took a long time to print. My coupon expires on Saturday, Feb. 28. You will need to show Photo I.D. to redeem your coupon - no purchase is necessary.

AZ Republic Subscription Deal

Many of you have inquired about whether there are any deals for getting the newspaper delivered. In my mailbox yesterday, I received a flyer with a deal of just $1 per week when you enroll in EasyPay.

Call 444-4444 and mention promo code EDGEJ. This promotion is good if you have not been a subscriber for the past 30 days. For those that already have a subscription, it may be worth the trouble to cancel your subscription for a month and then re-sign up for just $4.33 a month! I currently pay about $12 a month, so that's a savings of almost $100 in a year!

Free Chipolte in Arizona Republic

For those that get the Arizona Republic, look for the brown lunch sack with all the coupon inserts. It's a brown bag redeemable for a FREE Chipolte Burrito on March 8!

Looks like Chipolte likes giving away free stuff. We tried to go the Saturday before the superbowl with their Go Big Red promotion, but the line was too long for my 2 year old. Hopefully we can make it this time!

Hidden CVS MoneyMaker

This week at CVS, when you buy any two Neutrogena Facial Moisturizer or Sun Care products, you get a $10 ECB (limit 1). This deal is working on the Neutrogena facial bar soap (3.5 oz bar--UPC 070501010105) that are priced at $2.99 each.

So, buy two for $5.98 total and you'll get a $10 ECB back! If you happen to have CRT for skin care products, you can make this an even bigger money-maker!

Thanks, Mercedes!

Kroger recently changed over their packaging for their line of Comforts diapers. Go here to a print a coupon for $3/1 package of diapers. Also, be sure to check the outside packaging of their Comforts diapers--many stores have $3/1 peelies on the old packaging.

These diapers are often on sale for $5.99 to $6.99 making them only $2.99 to $3.99 per package after this coupon which is a steal on disposable diapers. Kroger is the parent company for Fry's, but I haven't checked to see if this is the same situation at Fry's - I'll give an update shortly when I confirm!

My experience with private label diapers has been very good, but I know that diapers are something that are very unique to each child. I've also been especially happy with Walgreens brand and with the Playskool brand at CVS.

Free Redbox Movie Rental

We just found out about Redbox, so we rented from it for the first time last week. It was the easiest thing and I walked away saying "I wish we had thought of this concept." Although it may not have multiple copies of the most recent new releases, there are plenty of movies that I missed the first time that I still want to see, and they are only a buck. I also found out that they give codes for Free rentals every monday so I'll start posting those free codes on Mondays!

Here is today's free code:

BuzzAgents love Chili's

One of the online companies that I found a while back that has been so good to me is BzzAgent. It's a word of mouth advertising company that gives members products and then asks them to report back on what people's response was. I've received some really great free stuff from the company including gift certificates to a yummy body care company, Fruits & Passions, free Big Mouth Burgers Burgers at Chili's, free gourmet turkey sausages, and best of all, a Free Harmony One Universal remote worth over $200! It's a free company to sign up with so check out details here!

This week, I was invited to participate in another campaign with Chili's. It's for their new Guiltless Grill menu and I can't wait to go try it! The 6 item menu includes a honey-mustard glazed salmon, carne asada steak meal, buffalo chicken sandwich, black bean burger, and more, and the best part is that each entree is 750 calories or less and 25 grams of fat or less! They're able to keep the items healthy by using more spices, grilling instead of frying to lock in flavor, and steaming methods to give us all the flavor and a lot less guilt! Check out the new guiltless menu here and let me know what you think! Personally, I can't wait to try the salmon so I'll let you know how it goes later!

Pinching Your Pennies

I just found the coolest website and I can't wait for you to go check it out! It's called Pinching Your Pennies and it lists so much information that is so helpful!

Click on your state's screaming deals and then click on what store you want. For example, in Arizona, it has a link for a list of the lowest prices for items for the past several months, which grocery store has the best deals on a particular item every week, how to match up coupons, and so much more. I'll definitely be using this as a reference for my weekly grocery posts and more, but if you have extra time on your hand and want a cool site to check out, this is definitely it!

Old Navy Addt'l 50% Off Clearance - Again!

I stopped by Old Navy (Desert Ridge) today to pick up my $5 V-Day coupon to use tomorrow and I noticed that all the clearance racks had signs "take an additional 50% off clearance prices!" I sure hope those signs stay up thru tomorrow as I can probably get several things for free with the $5 coupon! Let me know if you're seeing this at stores near you!

Brother in Town

My brother, Ryan, is in the Navy and recently had to spend a month in San Diego to get re-certified for his new job in Norfolk, VA. His wife has been back in VA for the past month with her mom getting their new house settled and decorated, so I hope that Ryan shares her same taste! (I know you did a fabulous job, Natalie.) On his way to drive back across the country, he stopped by and slept/visited with our family for a few days. We're praying for your safe travels, Ryan, and we can't wait to come visit when VA isn't under 12 inches of snow!!! Hugs & kisses to you both!

Freedom of Choice Act

As a woman, mother, and a Christ-follower, I feel that one of my greatest responsibilites on this earth is to protect my family and children from harm. Especially now, as our family begins to embark on the journey of adoption, I am even more passionate about preserving a society that is dedicated to protecting life rather than destroying it. I feel very strongly that life is the single most precious gift that we are given on Earth and when someone or something threatens to take that away, I will voice my opinion and do whatever I'm able to do. I thank God every day that He did not choose me to judge people's actions, and I truly desire to never put someone in a place where they feel I am judging them, however I do feel that He has called His children to speak up for what is right. There has never been a more crucial time in our country's history than now to do this.

If you agree and feel like you want to make a difference using the methods our founding fathers so victoriously fought for, there is something you can do to prevent your tax dollars from funding abortions. Below is a letter that shows what has been accomplished thus far, and what you can continue to do. It literally takes less than 15 seconds and I beg you to click on the link at the bottom of the below letter:

As you may have heard, Congress has not yet introduced the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). That's because the pro-abortion forces have heard your voice. Planned Parenhood President Cecile Richards told the Wall Street Journal:

We're going to be smart and strategic about our policy agenda to bring people together to make progress for women's health. The Freedom of Choice Act is very important . . . but we have a long list of things to get done that I think can address problems immediately that women are facing, that are really immediate concerns.

In other words, because of the more than 650,000 people like you who have stood up to Fight FOCA, pro-abortion forces are focusing on another tactic for now -- FOCA-by-Stealth.
They want to try to pass pieces of FOCA under your nose. The first target is your pocketbook.
The top priority for Planned Parenthood and their pro-abortion allies is to repeal the laws that prohibit federal funding of abortion. Often called pro-life "riders," the pro-abortion forces want House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to eliminate them and start using our tax dollars to pay for abortion-on-demand . . . nationwide.
Thankfully, a bi-partisan group of Members of Congress are standing up to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood (who used to work for Speaker Pelosi). A letter to Speaker Pelosi written by Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Democrat Congressman Heath Schuler of North Carolina is being circulated for signatures by Members of Congress.
Please ask your member of Congress to sign the Jordan/Schuler letter.

Walgreens Ending Easy Saver Program

April will be the last month of Walgreen's popular "Easy Saver Rebate" program.

It sounds like they will be reprogramming their cash registers to handle coupons more like Target's do where the coupon attaches directly to each product.

Returns without a receipt will receive the lowest price the item has sold for over the previous 4 weeks and returns with a receipt that used coupons will have the amount of the coupon deducted from the refunded amount.

This isn't a huge disappointment to me as I've never been a huge fan of Walgreens anyways. In my opinion, they have too many different types of coupons and promotions that it makes it too difficult for the average consumer to utilize their specials. I anticipate that CVS will see an increase in their traffic as this change occurs. So, there is no better time than the present to learn how to maximize those ECBs!

Free Gas Card from Albertson's

Albertsons has a coupon for a free gas card when you spend either $35 or $40 in P&G brand participating products. Mail in your receipt and they send it back to you. Details are in one of their coupon booklets.

I haven't picked mine up yet so I'll have to read details, but combine with coupons to make this a pretty good deal! :)

Thanks, Erin, for this great tip!

Thank you !!!

I wanted to post an email that I received from one of my readers to encourage you and say thank you. It is such a blessing to know that so many of you are benefiting from the information that I've been able to share with you and to know that you are making a positive difference in your families lives is more fulfilling than you can imagine. I know that the Lord gives people circumstances in their lives so that they can encourage others in the future. I feel so blessed to be able to share all the coupon "secrets" and tips that I've learned in my life to make your dollars go further. Thanks for being such great students and I welcome the questions that you have, as simple as they might sound. It's taken me years to learn all this information so don't expect to learn everything overnight. And, there is still so much for me to learn so I love the tips you pass onto me as well!

From anonomous reader:
"I saved BIG TIME TODAY!!! Well over half of our groceries had ad-matchings and/or coupons. Almost every item was discounted otherwise already at XXXXXXX! We have saved around $80 for two weeks of food!!! YAHOOO!!!!!"

How great is that - saving $80 every 2 weeks amounts to $2080 savings in a year! How about that?!?

Coupon Organizing 101

One of the keys to being able to effectively save money is by coupon clipping. However, it can be overwhelming to keep track of all of them! There are so many different ways to organize them but the key is to come up with a system that works for you! I will give you several ideas that I have seen as well as show you what works for me. As a side note, put your name and phone number someplace on your organizer in case it gets lost. You've spent countless hours and probably have hundreds of dollars of coupons and you would hate to lose it by leaving it at the checkout or in your cart. My father-in-law found an organizer when he was shopping and he was going to bring it home to me until he realized it had a name & phone number and turned it in. I would have been devastated if that had been mine without any contact info, so don't forget this super important tip!!!

Organizers
I've been couponing for many years and I have to say that my preferances have changed over the years. You will likely find yourself changing systems after finding that something doesn't work for you, and you might do this a lot at the beginning. That's okay and give yourself a break as you see new methods and try them. Everyone has their own preferences so use what is best for you!

I started out using the plastic envelope sizes accordian files that you can pick up at Walgreens. This worked great until I started needing more categories and I quickly ran out of room. Then I tried a plastic recipe storage box but didn't like that at all. Finally, I found a ribbon organizer that I bought at Joann's that I am loving! It has a handle at the top, a separate compartment at the bottom and snaps on & off easily. I just wish it was a bit wider so it could fit legal size envelopes. I guess I'll keep looking but I'm happy in the meantime! A friend uses an old CD wallet for her coupons and that is working fabulous for her!

Coupon Organizer Tabs
These will be very personal as every coupon shopper has their own buying habits and favorites. I have found that the more categories I have, the easier it is to find something when I'm shopping with my 2 year old and time is limited. However, the downfall is it takes more time sorting and filing my coupons after I clip them. I make my envelopes by taking an index card and writing the category on one end with a sharpie. I then place it vertically at the back of the envelope and that's it! FYI, I have to trim my index cards to fit my lid.
These are my categories so feel free to add or subtract according to what you need:

My Coupon Organizer Tabs

I also keep a few labeled envelopes in the bottom of my coupon organizer with all the stores that I frequnt on a regular basis. When I match the ads with the coupons, I print a master list of all the things I need to buy at the differnt stores that week. Then I put the appropriate coupons for each store in it's labeled envelope. Then, when I get to the store, I have all the coupons already pulled and in one place so I'm not searching all over for my lost coupons. Remember that disorganization is most likely lost dollars so the better prepared and organized you can be when you get to the register, the better!

There are tons of different ways to organize coupons and here are a few more links to give you more ideas. Good luck finding your system and I would love to know what has worked best for you!
