Wow, when you combine feeling sick, a crashed computer, a new hard drive, and a new camera, the result is no blogging for over a month! Oh my goodness many of you probably think we fell off the face of the earth, but we're back. Not really, but it's been a very long & stressful past month. Hopefully this video will give you a quick catch up on the fun things we've been doing and how much Kylie is growing. I can't believe that she will be 2 years old next month. She's talking in full sentences, realizing cause and effect relationships, starting to learn a few of her letters & numbers, and boy does she have an opinion of WHAT she wants to do and WHEN she wants to do it! A dear friend of ours, Jen Nelson, just had twin girls 2 weeks ago and they were both about 6.5 lbs. We got to visit them last weekend and it's so difficult to remember that Kylie was a whole lb smaller than that when she was born. It's amazing to me to watch the process that God designed for us well before any of us were created!
Speaking of creating us, I've never been one to pay $20 to go see a movie in the theater, but I am going to highly recommend the documentary currently in theaters called Expelled. It's a Ben Stein documentary and I would encourage everyone to go and pay for tickets and support the efforts of movies like this. It gives a wonderfully neutral perspective of America slowly chipping away at our freedom of ideas, particularly in the science world. I could go on and on so if you would like more information, please email me!
We have also been privileged to start attending the Truth Project at Desert View Bible Church every week. What an amazing series of classes from Focus on the Family that takes us back to the foundations of who God is, who we are, how it relates to who we are in Christ and what our purpose for being her is. We're only 3 weeks into the 12 week study, but it has been so beneficial to go back to the basics of our faith and reiterate why we believe what we do. Amen for a opportunity to test our faith and prove it true again and again and again!
Eric and I both celebrated our birthdays and our 6th anniversary this month. Sometimes it seems shorter and sometimes it seems longer, but I wouldn't trade any of it. Eric is the love of my life and I can't even imagine what I would be like without you. God prepared him specifically for me and we're exactly what He wants us to be together. Thank you Lord for such an amazing and selfless husband!
I've become long-winded now, but continue to ask for your prayers for my Crohn's disease. It's been a tough ride since my flare back in February and the doctors are still trying to get me into remission. I've been back in the ER and in & out of the dr's offices, but we haven't had much success. I'm not giving up hope, but it's been a pretty discouraging last few weeks. I hope all our friends are healthy and ready for an amazing summer and if anyone has plans to come to the valley, we always have a guest room available for visitors :)
Enjoying every minute!
