The Circus Has Arrived!

I don't remember attending the circus as a child so when I had the chance to go and see it myself as an adult, it was amazing.  I think I could appreciate many of the things even more because I am an adult and I can see that there is no way the average person can do any of these things.  They twist themselves, catapult themselves, expose themselves, contort themselves and more into ways that the human body doesn't naturally do.  They are amazing and we left last night in awe of that amazement.

Thanks to Feld Entertainment, we were able to attend the opening night that we had been so looking forward to, and it was definitely worth the wait.  We arrived for the pre-show to see the elephants up close, experience the clowns, put on some of the costumes and see the part of the circus that most see only from the stands.  Kylie just turned 4 and she really enjoyed the show.  Every so often, she would tap my shoulder and say, "mom look at that, and look at that!"  I've said it so many times before but I love being able to experience life thru the eyes of a child, everything is that much more wonderful!

We also decided to be adventurous and try out the light rail for the first time.  It was actually really cool and really easy to use.  We had 3 kiddos with us and they enjoyed it too.  It comes about every 10 minutes so it was super convenient and dropped us right in front of the arena.  There were lots of people because it was the same night as a Diamondbacks game, but I would definitely use this again and it was SO much easier that trying to find and pay for a parking spot downtown.  A wonderful time had for all of us and I know that you will have a great time too!  It's not too late to go and you can still get a great deal on tickets.
