Our Homemade Fancy Nancy Tea Party

Last week, we had some of our extended family in town and it was so fun to have all these little girls running around playing together. Of the seven great-grand-kids on my mom's side of the family, six are girls and they are all within a few years of each other. Even though one family lives far away, I know these girls are going to have a wonderful time growing up together and playing at the holidays when everyone is home together. We miss you already, Milligan family, and look forward to your next visit!

Because everyone was coming in town to celebrate a first birthday, the grandmas wanted to do something really special and fun for the girls and thus was born the idea for the Fancy Nancy Tea Party. We first learned about Fancy Nancy about a year ago and it has become one of Kylie's favorite book series.  I know most little girls want to be as fancy as Nancy and even better if we can teach them how to be fancy on a budget!  Along with entertaining, these books also teach manners, some extensive vocab words, and some great life lessons too.

We were instructed to wear our fanciest clothes and come prepared for a morning of fanciness :)  We pulled out the dress up trunk and had fun deciding what to wear, and even though I pretend to be all grown up, I had just as much fun as my almost 4 year old!  Hope you enjoy our pictures!
