I'm learning that part of the adoption process is completely letting go of any and all control over the entire situation. Last Sunday was our birth-mother's due date. The day came and went without any labor and now it's Wednesday and there's still no labor. We were so prepared for an early delivery that it seems like we've been waiting for weeks, even though it's really only 3 days past her due date!
We feel like we're as prepared as possible, so now we just wait for the call. It's so great knowing that the Lord is in complete control over this situation and that His perfect plan for us will be played out, but it's hard to just wait. We hope and pray that birth-mom will follow through with the adoption plan, but that's all it is, a PLAN. The future weeks of our family lies in her hands and all we can do is pray.
In the meantime, we've been able to finish the patio addition we've been working on for weeks. We've still got a few more things to do to finish the yard but I'm so grateful to my hubby's hard work in getting everything done. It will be so wonderful to have this outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful weather and play outside before it gets to be too hot. I'll try to get some pictures up for you to see and it's amazing to see his design become reality. Thanks baby!
I'll try to post something when birth-mom goes into labor and thanks for all your prayers and thoughts for us. It will be so exciting to see when this happens and we thank God for this opportunity to expand our family His way!
Enjoying every minute!
