Bring Home Baby Holt!

Despite our failed camera raffle to raise money for the adoption, we were confident that the Lord would open another door for us and yesterday we realized what that was!

A few weeks ago, we applied to an organization called Lifesong for Orphans for adoption fundraising support. Lifesong offers grants, loans, church support, and more to families looking to ease the financial burden of adopting. Typically it takes 6-8 weeks for an application to be reviewed, but because our baby could be born sooner than that, they rushed our application. Yesterday they called to tell us that we have their full support to move forward!

What that means is anyone can make a tax deductible gift to Lifesong and recommend our account as the recipient*. It's a win-win situation for both parties involved and we're so grateful to Lifesong for approving our application so quickly! Would you please consider partnering with us with either your prayers and/or finances?

Here's how you can pray for us:

*Pray for peace for the birth-parents & that they would be confident to follow thru with the adoption plan. Nothing is guaranteed and it's only a plan until they sign their relinquishments.

*Pray for the health of the baby boy growing inside his birth-mom.

*Pray for the future relationship we will have with the birth-parents and their families.

*Pray that our family would be strengthened during this time and trust God no matter what.

Here's how you can financially support us:

*Visit Lifesong for Orphans here.
Click on orange button halfway down page "make a donation"
In the description line enter Holt #1106 Adoption

OR

*Send a check to Lifesong for Orphans
PO Box 40 202 N Ford St
Gridley, IL 61744

*Make checks payable to Lifesong For Orphans and write (Holt #1106 Adoption) in the memo

*All donations are tax-deductible as Lifesong for Orphans is 501(c)3 tax exempt

*Lifesong will be collecting donations for us thru February 10, 2010.

Lastly, do you know someone else that is considering adoption? Please spread the word about Lifesong for Orphans and the great resources they can provide. I'm so grateful to our case worker for sharing this organization with me and I want to share it with as many people as possible!

Thanks again for sharing in this amazing part of our lives with us!

*In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to the named non-profit organization. This organization retails full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor's suggested use.

We are praying for you everyday. Lucas says a prayer for baby Holt every night before bed. We are so excited for all of you. Sorry the other raffle didn't work, but I hope you were able to get our donation through Pay Pal. Let me know if it didn't go through. We love and miss all of you so much.

Is there a way to donate online? If not, I think I remember how to write checks still. :)

Hello Becca,

I made a contribution on your behalf to Lifesong upon receiving your email last week. When I received my email and mailed receipt I didn't see the Holt #1106 Adoption noted on the information. So, I contacted Lifesong and they assured me it was applied. Just wanted to let you know so you could follow up. Many thoughts and prayers for Baby Holt to join your love & faith filled family!
