While being a firefighter definitely won't make my husband and our family rich, one of the things that we have been immensely blessed with is wonderful health insurance. They offer licensed family nurse practitioners and the convenience of 7 day a week/evening availability. They take most insurances and if you don't have insurance, most basic services are between $59 and $80. That's a whole lot better than a hospital ER visit that could run into the thousands!
