Walgreens Take Care Clinics

While being a firefighter definitely won't make my husband and our family rich, one of the things that we have been immensely blessed with is wonderful health insurance. I don't know what we would do without it, since the newest medication I recently started costs $8500 a month, and that's only one of my drugs! The Lord certainly knew what He was doing when Eric was hired with the fire dept 7 years ago!

These days however, I run into more and more people that are not so lucky and are experiencing rising premiums and decreasing coverage. And even more people are choosing not to have any insurance whatsoever. If that is the case for you, Walgreens Take Care clinics are now trying to make it affordable to get basic medical care when you need it. They offer licensed family nurse practitioners and the convenience of 7 day a week/evening availability. They take most insurances and if you don't have insurance, most basic services are between $59 and $80. That's a whole lot better than a hospital ER visit that could run into the thousands! They can also write prescriptions if you need it. Find out where the nearest Take Care clinic is to you here.

And, if you stop by and ask for a tour of the clinic, ask for their coupon book that has tons of great savings on Walgreens items!

Becca, I work with Take Care Clinics and just wanted to say thanks for the great write-up! Your tip about the coupon book is a good one.

Also you may know about this already, but if not I can fill you in - it's the Take Care Recovery Plan: http://takecarerecoveryplan.com/recoveryplan/
We recently started this, essentially it is a way for patients to get free healthcare visits at the clinics if they lose their job and health insurance.
