Currently, Taste of Home has several of their cookbooks on clearance for only $5, regularly priced between $15 and $30. I am definitely not the cook in our family and we have a really great collection of cookbooks that make beautiful book-ends! My husband has learned and been blessed with the ability to open a fridge and create meals from nothing, so aside from the traditional recipes, we don't use cookbooks much. I'm starting to have a desire to learn to cook, but me and Betty Crocker have a good thing going right now!
Thinking ahead, these cookbooks would make great wedding and/or shower gifts. Get a pretty basket from Michael's or Joann's using a 40% off coupon from the paper, pick up a few of the utensils the couple registered for along with a set of dish towels, and a cookbook. Wrap it up with a pretty ribbon and you've got a wonderful shower gift even on a budget!
