Walgreens Ending Easy Saver Program

April will be the last month of Walgreen's popular "Easy Saver Rebate" program.

It sounds like they will be reprogramming their cash registers to handle coupons more like Target's do where the coupon attaches directly to each product.

Returns without a receipt will receive the lowest price the item has sold for over the previous 4 weeks and returns with a receipt that used coupons will have the amount of the coupon deducted from the refunded amount.

This isn't a huge disappointment to me as I've never been a huge fan of Walgreens anyways. In my opinion, they have too many different types of coupons and promotions that it makes it too difficult for the average consumer to utilize their specials. I anticipate that CVS will see an increase in their traffic as this change occurs. So, there is no better time than the present to learn how to maximize those ECBs!
