Wildlife World Zoo trip

On Monday, Eric surprised the family and took us on an outing to the Wildlife World Zoo. I have lived here for 20+ years and have heard of this zoo a few times, but never gave it a second look. Now, I can't stop talking about the wonderful experience we had! This place is amazing and I don't think I'll be able to go back to the Phx Zoo without comparing it to this place. It's located about 5 miles west of the 101 and Northern. It only took us about 30 minutes to get there, which is the same time it would have taken to get to the Phz zoo! They just completed an amazing addition of 3 beautiful aquariums, so the price has gone up to $25 per person, but children under 3 are free and kids up to 12 years are cheaper. Also you can find $3 off coupons in the smartsource magazine. We had the chance to go to SeaWorld last year and I can honestly say that aside from the shows & Shamu, the exhibits and aquarium experience at the Wildlife Zoo were so much better! A few of the wonderful things: the animals were never less than just a few feet from you, the layout and terrain of the zoo is flat and very stroller friendly, and it was not crowded at all. A few highlights of our trip: Eric got to feed the giraffe out of his hand, Becca & Kylie felt the stingrays in their pool, we all had birds eating out of our hands during the bird feed, and lastly, we'll keep it G-rated but we saw the turtles practice their procreating skills. :)

Here are just a few of our pictures from our great adventure!

These toucans weren't caged in at all, but they just stood on their perch
